Head of Content Design (UX Writing) --- Banking

Dubai - (office-based) - relocation package + visa sponsorship

Salary: 100,000 GBP p/year (tax-free) + bonus + benefits.

(the equivalent gross salary in the UK = £165,000 p/year)

You're a passionate UX Writer, open to relocating to Dubai, UAE.

You speak, read, and write in fluent English. You might also have exposure to localization.

You most likely do not read, or write in Arabic, but you understand the complexities.

You're interested in creating short and long-form digital-first content, working collaboratively with design teams, and constantly crafting content with users/consumers in mind.

The opportunity:

We are hiring a Head of Content Design to join a leading bank, based in Dubai, which has embarked on a brand new digital strategy, to become the most digitally-advanced bank in the region.

As the Head of Content Design, you will be the driving force behind our client's UX Writing team, working collaboratively to create exceptional content for UX (app and web channels), customer materials, SMS messages, and more. This role offers a chance to be part of a vibrant team, shaping the voice of our client, ensuring their communication is consistently on brand.

You will lead a team of English and Arabic copywriters, managing project requests and overseeing the creation of outstanding copy that enhances the user journey and contributes to a world-class user experience. Not only will you utilise internal team expertise, but also partner with a globally renowned branding studio to support with content strategy.

My client’s writing team (part of the Product Design team) acts as an embedded studio that runs and changes the bank operating on an integrated SAFE model, with tribes and chapters. UX Writing is a shared function that scales based on demand. Right now, the team comprises two UX Writers, and we’re now looking for someone to lead this team and work on new strategies for Content Design and UX Writing alongside the VP of Product Design.

The experience required:

• Min. 5 years experience in a Content Design Lead / Lead UX Writing role
• Team Management experience
• Fluency in English
• Arabic writing skills are advantageous
• Cross-collaborative team experience with design / digital teams
• Strong portfolio / examples of work
• Short & long-form copy experience
