The Vacancy

This role sits within the Health and Wellbeing team, providing support to individuals and community groups, improving connections to local services for better wellbeing. The role is agile with a requirement to work across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington but the main focus area will be Liverpool. You will work across Torus neighbourhoods to actively engage residents to improve their health and wellbeing. You will develop and support a caseload of customers through social prescribing and work with partner agencies to develop and deliver Job Advert projects to promote healthier lifestyles and encourage take up of services to meet the overall objective of reducing health inequalities.

Ideally you will also have experience providing support on a 1 – 1 basis to customers looking to improve their Health and Wellbeing

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Be responsible to the Health and Wellbeing Team Leader for assisting and ensuring that Torus Foundation implements its Health and Wellbeing programme in a costeffective manner and delivers high quality services supporting the delivery of the Business Plan.
  • Work across Torus neighbourhoods to actively engage residents to improve their health and wellbeing, connecting them with local assets.
  • Work with partner agencies to develop projects to promote healthier lifestyles and address health inequalities and low self-esteem levels of tenants resulting from socio-economic factors.
  • Deliver programmes to encourage take up of services to improve the health and wellbeing of residents, prevent ill health and improve long term health conditions.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Experience of working with communities focused on health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of delivering projects that look to address health inequalities
  • Ability to implement creative and innovative programmes
  • Empathy for customers with complex lives
  • Ability to interpret data and provide conclusions
