Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a HSE Manager for a manufacturing business based in Leeds who are going through an exciting period of growth. The successful HSE Manager will have a proven track record of introducing new policies and procedures whilst been a presence on the shop floor and driving cultural change.
Key responsibilities.
To ensure that risk
assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met
Proactively
work with other areas of the business to develop SHE
culture
Conduct monthly safety audits, behavioural observations and
quarterly safety inspections
Maintaining a high level of knowledge
and expertise in all areas of Compliance in order to provide
appropriate advice and support.
Providing managers and employees
with information on legislative and corporate compliance, advising on
ways of meeting statutory requirements and Corporate HS& Safety
Policies, HSE guidance and codes of practice
Successful
Health Safety and Environmental will be;
NEBOSH Diploma is essential
Excellent organisational skills
Strong Admin
skills
Ability to problem solve and think outside of the
box
Previous experience of working within a
Manufacturing/Engineering/FMCG environment
