We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) Manager to join ourInfrastructure team based in the Sellafield working on the KDP8 17 year framework

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager role

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) department supportsthe business to reduce HS&W risk and create positive working environments.

The purpose of a HS&W Manager is to support stakeholdersto achieve the highest levels of HS&W performance. A key member of the HS&W team, workingclosely withassigned projectsteams and project supply chain members to give high quality HS&W support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and help rectify any competence issues for projects thatyou support
  • Provide high levels of HS&W supportand advice to assigned projects
  • Identify and escalate any resource issues, which could create a HS&W risk for projectsyou support
  • Support implementationand embedment of companywide HS&W strategy objectives
  • Contribute to work winning activitywhen required
  • Influence and supportproject personnel to leadand engage in HS&W
  • Promote and help create a positive HS&W culture

YourProfile

Essential:

  • Member of IOSH workingtowards Chartered Status
  • Excellent people leadership skills
  • Experienceof providing highly technical H&S supportto complex Construction or Civil Engineering projectswithin UK Tier 1 contractors
  • Competent understandingand abilityto apply root cause analysis
  • Excellent communicationand influencing skills
  • Experienceof leading HS&W improvement withsuccessful results
  • A proactiveapproach to yourown learning and development
  • Strong technical background with experienceacross major project schemes

Desired:

  • Chartered member of IOSH
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Healthand Safety
  • Lifting Experience
  • Mental HealthFirst Aider
  • Senior Leadership Team experience
  • Experienceof managing direct reports
  • Sound understandingof behavioural psychologyand human factors
  • Involvement in external HS&W workinggroups
