Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Liverpool

Salary: up to 45k

As our client's Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe operation of specific laboratory functions, aligning with objectives to drive financial performance and business growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll lead the implementation, delivery, and maintenance of HSE systems, including adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the safe operation of the work site, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Promote Health and Safety awareness, ensuring adherence to regulations within the laboratory environment.
  • Manage client requirements, ensuring timely and specification-compliant delivery.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of HSE systems and related standards.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of professional interaction at all levels.
  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams.
  • Understanding of quality of service and its delivery.
  • Competence with Microsoft software for report preparation.
  • Respectful and culturally aware team player.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and laboratory management.
  • Experience in HSE training and development programme preparation.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025:2017, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 17020:2012 standards.
