Healthcare Assistant - Part-Time, No Experience Necessary.

Home Instead Welwyn & Hatfield are looking for new CAREGivers to join our successful team. We support older people in their own homes to remain healthy, happy and independent and pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients. With minimum 1 hourly visits and small teams of CAREGivers  working with each client, we can provide continuity and long term relationships for both clients and our staff.

We are recruiting people seeking part-time work, with or without previous experience of social care . We can start you off in a long term career within social care even though you may presently have other commitments to children or elderly parents.

You could be a parent looking to work around your children's schedules, a retired person with energy to burn and desire to be useful in the community, or a student looking to earn some extra cash whilst studying. If so then we would love to hear from you.

We do need you to have your own car because we visit clients in their own homes and travel between clients daily, making a car essential.

We do not mind if you do not have any experience of Social Care as long as you are reliable, dedicated and genuinely enjoy the idea of working and supporting the elderly in their own homes.

We support our clients in many different ways including personal care (helping to wash and dress), light housework duties (dusting, cleaning out fridge, meal preparation) and companionship care (shopping, taking to social events and appointments). Our individual duties vary between clients and what their personal needs may be, so each visit differs.

We offer in return:

* Pay rates averaging between £11.67 - £12.60 per hour

* Double time for Bank Holidays

* Mileage allowance 25p per mile

We offer a mixture of our Award Winning Training & Assessment by offering a combination of e-learning (you can do it in the comfort of your own home) supported by skilled trainers and in-house workshops at our WGC offices. This leads to a nationally recognized Certificate in Care at the end of the initial training.

We do require all CAREGivers to have their own car - a necessity.

We also require you work a Saturday and Sunday shift on alternate weekends.

All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.

All positions are subject to four references and successful DBS clearance.

All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.

You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.
