Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in
partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are
looking to recruit a Helicopter Emergency Medical Services Captain on
a permanent basis due to growth to be based at Cambridge
Airport.
As a Cambridge Captain you’ll have a role that’s out
of the ordinary. Operating HEMS and Air Ambulance in support of the
East Anglian Air Ambulance
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Day to day you’ll operate multi-pilot HEMS and air ambulance missions, both by day and utilizing NVIS for night operations.
- Liaison as required with HEMS SP, engineering staff and third-party agencies to assist in reacting to operational and training requirements.
- As this role is full time and based onsite at Cambridge Airport, the successful candidate would be required to reside within forty-five minutes/twenty-five miles of Cambridge Airport.
Essential
experience of the Cambridge Captain:
Either:
- One thousand hours pilot in command of aircraft of which five hundred hours is pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters; or
- One thousand hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations of which five hundred hours is as pilot in command under supervision and one hundred hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
- Two thousand hours minimum total helicopter experience.
- Five hundred hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment like the intended operation.
In addition to
having:
- Twenty hours VFR at night as pilot in command.
- Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.
