Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)**

**Position Overview:**  

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting both primary and secondary intervention strategies, ensuring that every student receives the tailored assistance they need to excel academically.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Primary Intervention:** Collaborate with primary teachers to deliver targeted intervention programs, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other key areas of development. Provide individual or small group support to students who require additional assistance, adapting teaching methods to suit their learning styles.

- **Secondary Intervention:** Work closely with secondary subject teachers to identify students who may benefit from intervention sessions. Design and implement effective intervention strategies to address specific learning needs, helping students to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

- **Assessment and Progress Tracking:** Monitor the progress of intervention students through regular assessment and feedback, ensuring that interventions are responsive to their evolving needs. Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress, and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

- **Behaviour and Wellbeing:** Support the emotional and behavioural wellbeing of students within intervention sessions, promoting positive attitudes towards learning and fostering a supportive classroom environment.

- **Professional Development:** Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in educational intervention techniques, staying abreast of best practices and innovative approaches.

**Requirements:**

- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a primary and/or secondary setting.

- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting student learning, with a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity.

- Knowledge of effective intervention strategies and techniques, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.

- A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
