Full Job Description

We are excited to be working with a Leading UK Innovation company who are looking to recruit a People Business Partner, you will work closely with the People Director to deliver the People Strategy across the organisation, establishing effective and efficient people processes which are aligned to the business strategy and results in effective service delivery.


In this role you will have a real impact on the experience across the business to include employees, managers and leaders, whilst contributing to and leading strategy people projects. You will be given the accountability and autonomy to get to the heart of people issues across the organisation and work to develop fit for purpose people solutions that balance the needs of the individual with the needs of the organisation.


In this role as the People Business Partner, you will report into the People Director. Your key responsibilities will include but are not exhaustive of:


  • Business Partner across various departments across the company.
  • Manage complex people and employee relations issues to conclusion.
  • Provide legally compliant advice to ensure employee well being and minimise risk to the organisation.
  • Partner with and coach managers to build teams with stability, strength, depth and the capacity to grow.
  • Support the People Director in delivering strategic projects in all areas of HR and lead agreed projects.
  • Support the development of a culture that underpins the business strategy and ethos.
  • Provide the business with generalist day to day support to ensure all people matters are dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Work with the Recruitment Manager to ensure continuous pipelining of talent and specialist skills across departments.
  • Analyse key People metrics and use insights to drive better decisions.
  • Identify People priorities from corporate and departmental plans.
  • Provide up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates; developing and updating People policies in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.
  • Line management responsibilities of the People Assistant (HR and Projects) role and Senior People Advisor.


Essential Criteria: We are looking for an experienced business partner who can demonstrate their capability in the following areas:


  • A successful and proven track record of working in a People/HR setting with a strong delivery focus and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in dealing with complex employee relations issues.
  • Proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.
  • Possess a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude, pushing for a solution at all times, ensuring quality is not compromised.
  • A creative thinker, who is able to be innovative and develop new ways of addressing people's challenges.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels with a professional manner when working with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Resilience, viewing challenges as opportunities to grow and learn.
  • Able to build effective relationships internally and externally, quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent organisational, project management and time management skills, ability and experience to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Current and in-depth knowledge of employment legislation in the UK.
  • Experience of working with an HRIS.

Location: This role is based in Blackfriars, Central London (hybrid working arrangement; at least 2 days working from the office)

Term: Permanent Hours: This is a full-time role that offer a range of flexible working arrangements and encourage all their people to take advantage of them. Many do.
