HR Manager


Key information:

Location: St Neots (PE19 8YP), Cambridge

Hours: full time, 40 hours a week. Office based with optional hybrid working


Your role:


We are seeking a personable, driven, and empathetic individual to be our next HR Manager and join our vibrant and busy HR team!

As our HR Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding our core values and contributing to our environment where every individual feels valued, listened to, and empowered.


We are seeking someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and someone who can seamlessly manage day-to-day HR operations whilst providing leadership to our growing team.


Everyday tasks include:

  • HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills
  • managers on people matters
  • to nurture and develop people, helping us get the best out of our employees
  • a bank of HR policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and relevance
  • first line advice on current and existing employee matters
  • payroll and managing payroll records
  • out new starter induction
  • alignment between HR strategy and business goals
  • in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation
  • change management processes

What we are looking for:


An exceptional individual who has a solid educational background, holding a Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management (or equivalent) attesting to their expertise in the field. Beyond the academic achievements, we prioritise hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in various HR tasks, demonstrating their adeptness as a HR Manager.


The role demands more than just technical proficiency; it calls for exceptional communication and organisational skills, traits that will be essential in navigating the complexities of the workload.

We are not only seeking an individual who excels in HR operations but also possesses a genuine passion for nurturing and developing people. Our ideal candidate will have a history of guiding individuals towards their professional aspirations, promoting an environment where personal growth and development are encouraged and supported.


Finally, the successful candidate must demonstrate and uphold confidentiality and diplomacy, as a trusted, key member of our HR team the ability to handle sensitive matter with tact is non-negotiable.

The process:


This will be a four-stage interview process:


  • conversation with our Talent Team exploring your CV as well as skills and experience
  • interview with the hiring manager covering role-based questions, as well as some team fit questions
  • to face interview where the HR team will explore your team and culture fit, in addition to meeting a third-party HR professional who will ask some behavioural questions
  • you will be delivering a 15 minute presentation to our Senior Leadership Team
