Full Job Description

Delivering furniture for IKEA alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better everyday!

 What will you be doing as a Class 2 Driver?

  • Driving a Class 2 Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
  • Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes 
  • Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies 
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects 
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured 
  • Always providing a first-class customer service experience 

Relevant skills and experience as a Class 2 Driver:

  • This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items
  • Valid Class 2 License
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card
  • Full Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC)
  • A general understanding of driver's hours legislation and working time directive
  • No more than 6 points on driving license
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
  • DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
