Full Job Description

The successful candidate will assist the Warehouse Management Team in the day to day management of the Warehouse Operation and to ensure all Warehouse Colleagues carry out their planned duties whilst ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to. You will take an active role in training and assessing new Warehouse Colleagues.

What will you be doing as a Senior Warehouse Colleague?

  • Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Covering planned and unplanned Supervisor absence
  • Assist & oversee van area procedure – ensuring all vans are done by following the process and in reasonable time manner.
  • Carry out training of new employees/agency employees
  • Assist in carrying out any supervisor, trainer tasks.
  • Carry out basic daily operation tasks
  • Actively support compliance with Health & Safety/Hygiene legislations.
  • Maintain and enhance effective working relationships with your Warehouse operatives, Trainers, Supervisors and other departments – Be a role model.
  • Assist with rollout of procedures and briefings 
  • Aiding & assisting with the development & continuous improvement of all on warehouse operatives.
  • Warehouse on the job observations

Relevant skills and experience as a Senior Warehouse Colleague:

  • This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to
  • Counter Balance and PPT Licence holder
  • PC literate
  • Expert in planning 12t vehicles and 3.5t process or extensive experience in warehouse environment 
  • Excellent communication skills
