About the role

The purpose and prime objective of this dual service management role is focus on both IT Change Management and Asset Management defining, building and maturing the practice. The responsibilities will be focused on managing, governing, CSI and delivering the practices which entail areas such as Policy, Process, ITSM tooling, Training/Coaching, QA and Reporting.


The IT Change Management function will ensure that standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and effective handling of all changes in order to minimise the risk and impact of changes to service availability and quality.


The Asset & Configuration Manager function will ensure delivery of a single standardised Asset Management Practice including a single set of methods and procedures for a reliable inventory (CMDB) for all Global IT Assets ensuring its governed and managed efficiently and effectively.


This is a hybrid role with up to 2 days a week on-site at Head Office.


What you will be doing

As the IT Change and Asset Manager you will lead the Asset Management processes and activities working with Global Teams to ensure deliver a set of standardised Asset Management policies and processes which are effectively managed, governed, and facilitate continual service improvements. Owning the change management processes and activities and make sure they operate efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all technical changes and projects implemented are compliant with relevant change management policies.


You will chair the CAB and eCAB ensuring required personnel are in attendance and ensuring that all changes are either approved or rejected accordingly. You’ll manage, track and report all change requests, drive awareness of the change management process, and develop a continual service improvement plan. Whilst working with the global and regional teams to deliver a single set of standardised change management policies and processes which are effectively managed, governed, and facilitate a global change forum to drive compliance to change policies and improvements.


You will be able to demonstrate Asset and IT Change management knowledge and experience of leading teams and motivating them to achieve common goals. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced business environment with an emphasis on positive change and adaptive working practices.

What we're looking for

Education, Experience, and Preferred Skills:

  • ITIL knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT related subject
  • Experience in a ITIL SAM process role
  • Experienced in a ITIL process role

Technical Skills:

  • IT Life-Cycle Management
  • Asset Management (e.g. SAM, ITIL)
  • ITIL 4 Intermediate qualification
  • ITSM tool (e.g. ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Freshservice)
  • Software licensing tools (Snow, Flexera or equivalent) Optional

Leadership Skills:

  • Experience of engaging and building successful relationships with stakeholders of the change management process, including senior management
  • Work as a team with others
  • Identify and manage priorities.
  • Deliver work to high standards.
  • Be driven to improve yourself through personal development
