Job Title/Series /Grade: IT Cybersecurity Spec (INFOSEC) GG-2210-12  & 13
 

Pay Range: $92,204 - $126,017- (GG-2210-12); $103,144 - $140,961- (GG-2210-13) 
 

Work Schedule: Full Time
 

Location: Suffolk, VA
 

Duties:

  • As Cybersecurity Analysts (CSAs), processes and supports issuance of certification and accreditation (C&A)/assessment and authorization (A&A), Boundary Change Requests (BCRs), and Component Level Service Assessment (CLSA) packages through the planning, analysis, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Supports implementation of policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
  • Promotes awareness of security issues among management and ensures sound security principles are reflected in organizations’ visions and goals. Performs post-inspection analyses of Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORI) results, and performs operating system software and firmware analyses to determine necessary information system safeguards.
  • Reviews identified vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential shortfalls, and ensures designs and proposed alternative patterns of actions to eradicate the deficiencies by implementing measures to mitigate risks to Navy networks.
