Job Title/Series /Grade: IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GG 2210 12
 

Pay Range: $92,204 - $126,017
 

Work Schedule: Full Time
 

Location: Suffolk, VA (5 Vacancies)

Duties:

  • Assesses threats and vulnerabilities through testing and evaluation activities, such as network/enterprise penetration testing, web application security testing and conducting social engineering exercises.
  • Conducts system breaches to test security weaknesses and probe/exploit system vulnerabilities.
  • Designs tests and tools to breach security-protected applications and networks. Applies and utilizes authorized cyber capabilities to enable access to targeted networks.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.
  • Supports the documentation, validation, assessment, and authorization processes necessary to assure that existing and new IT systems meet the organization's cybersecurity and risk requirements.
  • Identifies vulnerabilities and their associated exploit ability and impacts to operators’ missions.
  • Performs assessments of systems and networks within the environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.

Condition of Employment :

  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
  • Able to obtain a Top-Secret w/ SCI Security Clearance
  • Testing Designated Position (TDP): subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Frequent Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel required to CONUS and OCONUS sites and platforms up to 50%.
