Description

Title:  IT Solution Specialist    

Location: Dunstable, UK         

Summary:    

Polar Speed is a business unit of Marken and both are a wholly owned subsidiaries of UPS Inc; Polar Speed is the UK's premier and fastest growing Healthcare Supply Chain and Clinical Homecare Services company. Utilizing a national multi-temperature, GDP compliant distribution network to ensure medicines, diagnostic and other medical products reach patients where they need them on time and in prime condition. Deliveries are undertaken to thousands of hospitals, GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, patients at home, veterinarians, opticians, dentists and other locations on a daily basis.
Additional services include temperature controlled warehousing, order to cash fulfilment, specialist home delivery services, managed homecare services including dispensing, phlebotomy, nursing and dietetic support activities.

In this role you will analyze business processes related to supply chain and logistics management.    

Main Duties and Responsibilities:         

•    Clearly and logically able to architect well-structured supply chain solutions/framework from start to finish to solve business problems with confidence.
•    Work closely with technical teams, including developers and administrators, to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
•    Configure applications to meet specific business needs.
•    Customize the system independently and consistently with the requirements expressed by the Clients.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams to integrate the applications with existing systems and processes.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and user guides.
•    Collaborate with testing teams to define test scenarios and validate that configured solutions meet the specified requirements.
•    Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on applications and promote adoption across the organization.
•    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the applications, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
•    Can lead conversations with the ability to whiteboard and/or demonstrate solutions to business problems on the fly.
•    Able to think holistically about project goals to design a working bespoke solution.       

Requirements:          

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing IT solutions, including customization and configuration.  
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible within business hours and ability to work under pressure.
  • Logical thinking and detailed problem-solving ability.  
    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • 2+ years experience implementing ERP, CRM, WMS, TMS systems  
  • Familiarity with healthcare and logistics industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.  
     
    Desired qualifications:  
  • Preferable experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, SharePoint, Power Platform, and other related Microsoft technologies.  
  • Preferable knowledge of test management, non-functional testing and automated testing.  
  • Experience with cloud technologies is a plus.  
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: MB-300: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Finance and Operations Core, MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform, etc.) is a plus.  
  • Eager to learn and build skills.
  • Ability to understand/dissect organizational culture and tailor communication and processes to successfully navigate the same.
  • Strong Time Management, Organization, Execution, Written, Verbal and Communication Skills 
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
