ITV Work Experience - Group Communications

Office location: ITV White City, London

Start date: Monday 23rd October

End Date: Thursday 26th October

Duration: 4 days

Please note that this programme is voluntary and unpaid and open to the UK only.

A bit about the team.

The Group Communications and Corporate Affairs Department is responsible for all internal and external communications across ITV, both in the UK and Internationally. 

We are four teams working closely together across Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Internal Communications and Social Purpose. We drive the initiatives that support our business goals right across the organisation. We also protect and promote the ITV brand through media campaigns designed to reach investors, employees, industry analysts, customers, government agencies and other stakeholders.

Key Activities

  • Learn about what each role involves and how they differ from one another (e.g. Social Purpose, Public Affairs, Internal Communications and Corporate Communications).

  • Shadow meetings across the team and take notes

  • Learn the basic principles of good communications practice e.g.

    • Creating a communication plan

    • Writing internal communications and external press releases

    • Event planning and management

    • Coordinating media campaigns

    • Creating content using a range of platforms and mediums

 

Minimum Criteria

  • Must be over 16 years old

  • Complete the application form for the placement you are interested in
