Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of play, inspiring teams, and orchestrating impactful initiatives that carve new pathways for growth. Core Responsibilities

Lead Internal Innovation Program:

  • Collaborate with internal partners to solve innovation challenges by developing overall vision and strategy for the program incl. services offered, capabilities needed and processes and tools.

  • Establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) focusing on value generated and collaborator benefits.

  • Develop a funding model for program engagements.

  • Cultivate an adaptable and effective innovation toolbox, encompassing strategic foresight, design thinking, business model development, and facilitation techniques.

  • Promote the program internally and drive wider adoption of learning and tools created.

Provide Innovation Consultancy & Delivery:
  • Collaborate with lead innovation catalysts and internal partners to mature innovation challenges.

  • Co-develop and deliver solutions by framing the innovation challenge, facilitating discovery and defining options for pursuit, assisting internal partners in prioritizing options, supporting the development of innovation roadmaps, co-creating examples of solutions, facilitating investment requests, identifying insights gaps and defining necessary experiments.

Innovation Leadership:
  • Define the necessary team composition to address internal partner challenges. Empower teams to deliver against challenges through direct and informal leadership.

  • Develop prioritization criteria for internal partner challenges and secure buy-in from senior collaborators.

Creative Play Lab exists to create a compelling innovation pipeline consisting of new and engaging LEGO experiences that delight and inspire the builders of tomorrow. Creative Play Lab activities span wide from pioneering play experiences and innovative business models to fresh Go-to-Market strategies. Additionally, we focus on strategic portfolio innovations that enhance our core franchises, ensuring a dynamic and future fit approach to every facet of our work.

The Innovation Catalyst Director will play a crucial role in disseminating the innovator attitude and toolbox throughout the LEGO Group via our Internal Innovation Program.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Extensive experience working within the field of innovation consultancy and innovation programs. Proven track record in driving innovation projects for customers/clients, ideally in projects end to end (from strategy to idea creation and development to launch).

  • Experience working with strategy and value proposition development in the context of Innovation.

  • Proficient expertise in facilitating workshops at all organizational levels.

  • Strong commercial approach and understanding.

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (presentations, workshops, discussions).

  • Leadership experience – a teammate that understands how to build a successful team that works well together.

  • A personality that thrives working with high level of uncertainty and ambiguity and comfortable finding and defining the answers and taking ownership of direction to go.

  • If London based, high willingness and flexibility to travel to Billund (~monthly).
