engineering company offering high-end engineered and manufactured
solutions.
Job Role: Inspector
Location: Yeovil
Hours: Full
Time 37 hours per week.
Salary:
TBC
Summary of functions:
To
ensure that all product conforms to customer drawings and
specifications. Perform Inspection using multiple measurement devices
ranging from handheld equipment (Mics and Verniers) to CMM's, Faro
Arms, Hommel, Keyence etc. Complete Firs Article Reports to AS9102.
Assess and decipher SPC/Capability data and react accordingly.
This role will include:
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement
- Carry out First Offs, In-Process, Goods Inwards and Final Inspection to customer drawings and specifications
- Prepare and carry out FAIR's to AS9102
- Support all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory ruling and process
- Support company Red Table/RCCA activities
- Continuously improve the business by supporting the company Kaizen process
- Ensure correct authorities (training and skills) are in place to carry out the role under the regulations of the QMS
Skills and experience required:
- FAIR creation/completion to AS9102
- Indentured (Preferable)
- Familiar with the use/programming of relevant equipment, CMM's, Faro Arms etc. (mandatory)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and a good understanding of GD&T
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment
- Collaborative and able to work as part of a team and an individual when required
