Operational Planning - let’s introduce ourselves
As Integrated Marketing Planning Lead you will join the
Operational Planning team that reports to global Head of Media,
Planning & Analytics. The marketing organisation is currently
transforming to meet our future ambitions and you will join a dynamic
environment with marketing colleagues from across the world.
The Operational Planning team diagnoses and prioritizes the
business opportunities for marketing to solve in the short term to
deliver on Volvo Cars corporate, commercial and brand targets.
In the planning team we are building a globally scalable, cost efficient and effective integrated planning operations model across all regions. The role of the Integrated Marketing Planning Lead is to plan activities within each cluster of market and guiding and governing investments and priorities to ensure highest possible return of marketing investments and delivery on key objectives and KPI targets.
Integrated Marketing Planning Lead – this is what
you’ll do
You will lead integrated marketing planning to
drive volume growth and strategic targets of increasing electric car
sales and online sales for a cluster of markets in the Europe region.
With 20 National Sales Companies, Region Europe is the
largest Volvo Cars area in terms of market presence and sales
performance. In 2023, which was a record-breaking year in terms of
sales, Europe represented 42% of the global sales volume where fully
electric plug-in hybrid powertrain, accounted for 59% of all cars
sold.
You will collaborate closely with marketing
leads, content and media execution and commercial stakeholders to
drive marketing transformation within your cluster.
Here’s a bit of what you will be doing in more detail:
• Deliver best in class marketing with a consumer centric
approach in an efficient omnichannel set up to reach set KPIs and
objectives.
• Strengthen brand to enable market share growth
and premium pricing.
• Analyse market performance and ensuring
effective use of our marketing budget through steering and
optimisation of investments and channel mix.
• Ensure local
plans are aligned with marketing plan and apply global strategic
planning principles and measurement frameworks.
• Apply our
operational principles to gain efficiencies through scale, increase
automation, and standardize frameworks and processes.

Collaborate with cross functional teams within marketing,
communications, and brand as well as regional market operations
leaders and commercial teams to ensure we drive sales and brand
growth.
• Surface market nuance information, local partner
negotiations, flags and testing opportunities and scale learnings.

We are looking for someone
who is structured, dedicated to deliver, and comfortable working
across the organisation with multiple teams. To be successful in this
role you will have a strong strategic mindset, excellent ability to
structure complex challenges, strong analytical skills, and a
leadership style with focus on delivering. You are a collaborator that
builds trusts with others and has a positive mind-set and is not
afraid to challenge the status quo.
You communicate
with clarity, are an active listener and that convey points in a
conceiving, inspiring and decisive manner. You have brilliant
presentations skills to be able to impact on executive level.
You are experienced in managing integrated marketing activities for a global brand and have a solid understanding of planning cross channel campaigns.
You have extensive knowledge of brand and
performance marketing, media buying and planning.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master's degree within Marketing, or similar level
of education.
• Significant experience of marketing, as well
as solid understanding of channel and media mix
• Project and
stakeholder management experience, with the ability to proactively
drive processes in a complex and ever-changing environment.
•
Quantitative analytical ability and communication skills, distilling
large problems and data sets into actionable insights and
outcomes.
• Knowledge of key markets in Europe media
landscape, key trends, and consumer behaviours.
• Experience
from agency side or brands in an international context is
preferable.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
•
Other languages a merit as well as experience from international,
multicultural, and multifunctional environments.
