Interim Accountant

250-275 per day

Temporary, Full-time

Manchester (hybrid-working)

Interim Accountant required to join an expanding not for profit organisation on a temporary full-time basis. My client is looking for an experienced Accountant for upto 6 months to join their dynamic finance function and is offering hybrid-working.

As the Interim Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the delivery of month end management accounts, critical finance functions such as budget setting, monitoring and close of accounts alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Managing month end - journals (accruals, prepayments), closing the books, review against budget
• Month end reporting to budget holders - variance analysis and commentary
• Business partnering/ monthly reviews with budget holders and advising on commercial/financial matters
• Budget management/forecasting
• Overseeing purchase ledger - PO's, goods receipting, invoicing
• Support effective decision making whilst reviewing financial information
• Identify and manage risk relating to responsibilities

Required skills and experience of the Senior Accountant

• Ideally candidate will either be a Qualified or Part Qualified (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent
• Experience within production of the management accounts
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to influence and negotiate
• Strong analytical skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established not for profit organisation with the opportunity of working hybrid with a requirement of only 2 days on site a week.
