We are a multi-disciplinary, RCVS accredited specialist lead referral center within the county of Essex, where we work to the highest standards of veterinary care for pets, creating a seamless experience for them and their owners. Your role and responsibilities

Southfields Veterinary Specialists are currently recruiting for a talented nurse to support the existing teams in providing exceptional care to our patients.

As part of our Internal Medicine team consisting of consultants, residents, interns, nurses and support staff, you will see a large and varied referral and emergency caseload, allowing you to work within an exceptional team and develop your career whilst being exposed to cases from all disciplines. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to the service and its patients.

As an Internal Medicine Nurse, you will coordinate with the Senior Internal Medicine Nurse and Head Nurses to care for patients requiring medical management of conditions. This would include endocrinopathies, immune-mediated diseases, urogenital conditions and many more.

You will have a good understanding of anaesthesia which, following an induction alongside our team of anaesthetists, will allow you to support patients undergoing procedures including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, fluoroscopy and diagnostic imaging. You will be required to assist with various medical procedures including, but not limited to, joint taps, bone marrow biopsies, and oesophageal feeding tube placement. In addition, you will be able to develop your own practical skills set with the large and varied caseload seen at Southfields Veterinary Specialists Hospital.

This is the perfect opportunity for the Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a keen interest in internal medicine to develop their understanding and practical abilities alongside an experienced team of Specialists and RVNs.

You will be required to liaise with all disciplines to facilitate gold-standard patient care through effective communication from the point of admitting through to discharge.

Referral experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Salary Value:£28,000 per annum;
