We are looking for an Inventory Controller to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:

Key Responsibilities

Organising and planning stores area.

Comprehensive lay out and organisation of where stock is kept.

Receiving deliveries/returns and ensuring they are correct, dealing with mismatches adequately and in a timely manner.

Making sure that all required signatures are on the order form before processing the order.

Moving of stock and preparing/dispatching stock as requested by Management/ Buyers and ensuring paperwork and stock system is updated and maintained to reflect this.

Good knowledge of MS Office specially MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table etc.)

Maintain professionally the stock controlling database system, complying with the Company's needs.

Ensure that the stock is received, dispatched, recorded and managed accurately in the database.

Produce daily/monthly & random inventory stock counting / checks and investigate all discrepancies found in stock.

Monitor stock levels and prepare orders for delivery whenever required.

Match all received stock with paperwork and inform Purchasing team/Supplier if any discrepancies are found.

Liaise with Suppliers regarding delivery schedule, goods that have been damaged or any other issues.

Put away all received stock in the appropriate locations.

Logical and Analytical approach when dealing with stock transactions or investigating stock discrepancies.

Ensure that appropriate reports of stock controls and discrepancies, are produced as requested.

Professional approach towards problem solving, raising any concerns with Management immediately in order to be addressed and resolved.

Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.

Put all stock transactions/cycle count details on the system/stock file.

Provide control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and prevent thefts at all the times.

Work professionally and effectively in high pressure environment to provide optimum customer services.

Work close together and encourage team work with all internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.

Check for all out of date and damaged products in the stock.

Ensure hygienic conditions are maintained at all times especially when dealing with food products.

Liaise regularly with colleagues and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to the Client at all times.

Provide a highly customer focused service to the Company and Client at all times.

Show high level of confidence and ownership skills.

High level of communication required when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence across shifts/locations.

Flexibility required to work over weekends and longer hours/overtime.

Flexibility required between London sites as normal place of work site making travel arrangements to these at their own expense.

Adhere to all Company Policies and procedures, particularly in regard to health and safety.

Any other duties as and when requested.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities

Possess suitable background experience in similar role

Has a detailed understanding of inventory controls/management systems

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills for a demanding and customer focused work environment

Possess a can-do attitude with willingness to learn, improve and adapt to required ways of working

Possess relevant IT skills, Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of stock management systems

Holds a full valid UK Driving Licence and is comfortable in driving the Company Van and Pool Vehicles as and when required
