New College Swindon have an exciting opportunity for a Job Coach to join their team.

Location: North Star Campus (Swindon, SN2 1DY)

Salary: £13,343 - £16,561 per annum

Job Type: Permanent or Fixed-term Contract (22.2 Hours PW / 52 Weeks)

Hours: 8:30 -17:00 (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday)

About Us:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Job Coach to lead the College's Supported Employment team, providing employment opportunities for learners with additional needs and creating a bridge from education to employment. You will play a pivotal role in developing strong relationships with employers who wish to work with our Inclusive Learning curriculum area at New College Swindon. You will need to have access to your own vehicle to be able to visit external placements. This will be remunerated by submitting fuel expenses.
 

Job Coach – The Role:

To assist the lead job coach in supporting the Supported Internship programme, providing employment opportunities for learners with additional needs and creating a bridge from education to employment. Developing strong relationships with employers who wish to work with the Inclusive Learning curriculum area at New College Swindon. Help with the coordination and delivery of the Supported Internship Study Programmes. As well as helping to coordinate and deliver the work experience element of the Study Programme in the Inclusive Learning curriculum area at New College Swindon. Assisting with all eligible funding claims for support provided.

Job Coach – Key Responsibilities:

- To support the Lead Job Coach in providing an outstanding provision for both Interns and employers

- To Support interns to be successful in their employment, provide an appropriate level of support and guidance in the workplace using Systematic Instruction

- Engage with employers to develop appropriate and realistic employment opportunities young people on a Supported Internship

Job Coach – You:

- Professional and confident interpersonal skills (including delivering presentations)

- Excellent time management

- Empathy with the experience of students of a variety of ages, needs, and backgrounds

- Ability to set clear targets and evaluate outcomes

- Access to your own vehicle for site visits (expenses paid for)
