About the role

We’re looking for an ambitious Copywriter to join our thriving writing team.

Here at TBWAWorldHealth+CDM, Copywriters sit right at the centre of our work, collaborating closely with accounts, innovation, strategic and visual departments.

You’ll be working with a broad range of clients, across an even broader range of therapy areas and products.

From:

  • Big, blockbuster drugs to tiny, niche treatments
  • National projects to global campaigns
  • Medical fact-checking to creative storytelling

There’s a lot of opportunity – and scope for growth – for you to sink your teeth into.

As a Copywriter, you’ll uphold the scientific precision and creative soul of the work that flows through TBWAWorldHealth+CDM. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, language, style and layout, working with other teams to produce accurate, consistent content to deadline and spec.

As for the actual materials, the range is broad. We create the usual medical communications tactics like detail aids, leave pieces and congresses, but we’re increasingly producing new technologies and experiences to shape the future of healthcare communications.

You’ll report to a Senior Copywriter and be part of the Copy Department (there are 13 of us at present).

Skills and abilities

  • A strong scientific background — you’ll need to use your scientific knowledge to interpret data, share knowledge with others, and build scientifically sound materials
  • Storytelling skills – You must be a storyteller: someone who loves transforming scientific substance into compelling stories that support brand strategies
  • Excellent English language skills – you’ll need to adapt your writing style to suit different materials, target audiences and therapy areas
  • Clear communication – you’ll be collaborating with colleagues, clients and teams from the same office as well as other offices
  • Experience of online referencing and content management (i.e., Veeva Promomats) will work in your favour

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum, degree-educated in science or medicine
  • Medical communications agency experience is a big bonus

Character and personal qualities

  • Positive, committed to delivering quality and exceeding expectations
  • Curious, eager to expand skills and explore new topics
  • Human, kind to others and authentic in interactions
  • Bold, willing to champion brave ideas that can make a difference
  • Highly organised and methodical, with a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable with working independently
