Full Job Description

Role overview  

As a Junior Data Engineer in our team at Ipsos Karian and Box you will work within our data operations and engineering teams to shape how we handle and transform the data that we gather from our research programmes to measure and improve the workplace experience of employees.    

In this role you will be responsible for helping review and clean datasets, build data pipelines, automating data transformations and shaping and creating reporting outputs. 

This is a new addition to our UK data operations team, as a result of growth we’ve achieved in recent years and to support the growth we are looking for in the future.

What you’ll be doing:  

  • Building, reviewing and transforming data into various tools (both online and offline). 
  • Cleaning and transforming survey data in addition to building survey schemas/definitions to generate results outputs. 
  • Developing and creating automated results summary tables to provide to internal teams and external clients. 
  • Building reporting outputs (reports, dashboards) in Microsoft PBI. 
  • Developing data pipelines and automating data ingestion and transformation across various projects.

We have offices in London, Manchester and York and offer hybrid working from one of our offices, and the rest will be working from home.

About you…

  • Positive solutions-focused mindset and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong technical experience using Microsoft excel as well as experience in using python, R and other programming languages. Some experience in building reports/dashboards in Power BI.
  • Demonstrate some working knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, databases using tools such as Databricks, MS Azure and PowerBI.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
