Job Title: Junior Trader

Location: St Paul’s – London

Job Requirement: Full time / hybrid

What will you do:

This role reports to the Senior Trader and is specifically targeted at ‘in-play trading’ and ‘market monitoring’ but encompasses all stages of the market life-cycle including quality assurance at each stage of the process in order to maximise revenues and minimise client contacts. The requirements of our B2C customers and B2B partners must be at the forefront of all trader’s thoughts. This role will include training and trading of a number of key sports and will provide a platform to explore all of the opportunities the Group has to offer from an entry level position.

Main responsibilities:

  • Trade a variety of events across a number of Sports, with a specific focus on high volume trading
  • Prepare trading models for in-play events through accurate entry of pricing variables using the underlying market as a basis
  • Provide timely manipulation of trading models/platforms and monitoring of market conditions to maintain accurate pre-match outputs for both in-play and non-live events
  • Ensure accurate entry of in-play match data for in-play events
  • Analyse and record trading performance for future reference and performance management
  • Maintain a multitude of databases relating to the relevant sports and competitions
  • Have awareness of wholesale client requirements depending on sport/jurisdiction/market liquidity
  • Report model/pricing/feed provider issues to Senior Trading team
  • Communicate with Front Line Support and Risk departments during trading to ensure accurate and efficient service is provided to all clients
  • Gain a basic working knowledge and understanding of all Sporting Group systems and processes to maximise trading efficiency
  • Successfully complete all internal and external training courses where applicable
