The School and Role
This ‘Good’ Primary SEND school, based in North Tyneside, supports children and young people aged between 3-11 and is looking to appoint a passionate Key Stage 2 Primary Support to work in Key Stage 2 classes on a full-time or part time basis. The desired Key Stage 2 Primary Support will be working on a small class sized basis and 1:1 with pupils with SEND include not are not limited to; Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. This Key Stage 2 Primary Support role is long term from May ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements
The desired Key Stage 2 Primary Support Assistant will have;
- Relevant Level 2 Qualification is desirable: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant / Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care / Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning / Level 2 or 3 Childcare
- Experience of working with EYFS or primary school aged children.
- Experience of working with SEND pupils.
- A passion for the progress of SEND pupils.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
