An exciting role has become available at a precision engineering company offering high-end engineered and manufactured solutions.
Job Role: Laboratory Technician
Location: Yeovil
Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday
The Company offers a comprehensive, unrivalled capability across all precision engineering services to the aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors.
This role will include:
- Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
- Stock control of chemicals.
- pH control and chemical analysis
- Producing and conducting tests on test panels.
- Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray and Coating Weight.
- Electrical insulation & conductivity testing.
- Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur.
- Support production/quality issues.
- Writing reports on findings.
- Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous improvement and 5S, REACH compliance.
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided)
- Aerospace/ plating experience (preferable but not required)
- English, Science and Math GCSE, or equivalent
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.
