As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will have demonstrable excellent knowledge of AWS DevOps and modern practices including event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and IaC; as well as experience leading and supporting a highly skilled and talented Ops team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, mentor, and support the Ops team fostering career growth and improvement in stability and IT automation
  • Define and deliver the strategy, approach, and execution for the DevOps function identifying opportunities for business process improvement and optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product teams to resolve Incidents quickly and efficiently
  • Manage existing Hybrid Cloud/Private Cloud environment, driving the migration of service to AWS
  • Spearhead DevOps innovation, applying industry best practise architectures and methodologies in our environments

Requirements

  • Experience in a DevOps technical leadership role
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, proactive, and have a passion for automation; with a developed sense of integrity and commitment to excellence
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality with rapid decision making and analytical abilities
  • Expertise and experience to nurture and coach existing capabilities within our teams
  • You will be able to build a Kubernetes Cluster from scratch.
  • IaC, Terraform, CloudFormation code expertise, with Python or other development language
  • Significant experience with AWS (including serverless), including EKS. Preferably backed by AWS certification
  • Expertise in CI/CD - Jenkins / ArgoCD / CircleCI, Docker/Kubernetes, Linux, Microservice Architectures, Agile/SCRUM
