JOB ROLE: Lead Senior Producer 

SALARY:  £50-60k per annum

TYPE: Permanent, Full  Time 

DEPARTMENT: Projects

LOCATION: 5 Hancock Road, London E3 3DA | Hybrid

REPORTS TO: Business Director

Client Relationship 


  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the client, provide transparent communication on what is achievable in the delivery of projects and manage client expectations. 
  • Establish sign-off procedures and deadlines with the client to ensure clear and effective feedback, whilst taking overall accountability of project timelines and plans, ensuring the project is on track to be delivered on time and within budget as well as offering value to our clients. 
  • Oversee the tracking of project KPIs and process event feedback, leading on presenting results to the client. 
  • Proactively assist the Account Director and leadership team in maintaining the client and agency relationship, and the successful retention of projects and growth of accounts. 
  • Understand the client’s objectives, translating them into successful outputs that deliver results. 
  • Consistently exceed the expectations outlined in the project brief and provide the client with key insights, competitor reports and recommendations. 


Team Management 


  • Manage project teams, take responsibility for leading meetings, delegating individual tasks, and update the status tracker. Ensure project priorities are communicated and the team delivers projects of the highest standard.
  • Line manage, mentor and provide guidance to team members and effectively communicate performance expectations. 
  • Live event management and coordination of teams onsite, including producing detailed staffing plans and delegating responsibilities.  
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative approach across the team from suppliers to freelancers and ensure staff welfare is proactively managed.
  • Effectively escalate any issues to the leadership team and actively offer solutions to any problems that may arise. 
  • Coordinate third party deliverables including supplier contract negotiations. 


Creative


  • Manage the creative delivery on projects, ensuring costs are within the budget forecast and serve as the voice of reason to maintain project feasibility and alignment with financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop creative ideas, build mood boards, produce working decks and ensure the creative concepts presented meet client objectives.
  • Lead client meetings and present all ideas in a clear and concise way, offer insight and expertise to production and fabrication elements.
  • Oversee all creative delivery partners, ensuring a cohesive approach to the project.  


Finance 


  • Responsible for managing multiple client accounts and overseeing the overall profit and loss (P&L) performance of the accounts.
  • Develop and manage complex budgets, collate supplier quotes, raise POs, authorise invoices, track all spends and manage post event budget reconciliation and reporting. 
  • Manage and book suppliers and delivery partners. Take ownership of relationships, liaising throughout the process, negotiate costs and ensure value for money and efficiency. 
  • Support the Account Director with project forecasting.  
  • Ongoing budget tracking, evaluating costs, addressing any issues and ensuring profitability. 


New Business Development 


  • Proactively promote Bearded Kitten through best practices and contribute expertise to support the new business team in pitching for new projects aligned with your areas of expertise.
  • Attend and present pitch presentations when required. 
  • Work with the leadership team to identify commercial growth opportunities. 


General 


  • Lead on large scale complex events and projects, oversee the end-to-end delivery ensuring all plans are in place. 
  • Accountable for the quality of delivery, leading teams and demonstrating a proactive approach.
  • Champion Bearded Kitten’s sustainability practices.   
  • Undertake any other duties within the scope of your knowledge and skills as required.


THE PERSON


  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in the events industry in a similar role working on a range of projects across disciplines.
  • Management experience of medium to large scale events, experiences or installations with complex budgets of £1m plus.
  • Strong budgeting skills with working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and strong IT/computer skills in general. (Bearded Kitten uses Google Workspace.)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of H&S requirements and compliance laws with the ability to manage third party suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor responses according to the situation and communicate with clarity, conviction and persuasiveness.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with others and champion collaborative ways of working.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, with high levels of accuracy.
  • Highly organised and proactive with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to think creatively to deliver ideas and solutions whilst remaining curious and eager to learn. 
  • Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally (for periods not exceeding one month).
