Up to £51,000 DOE

Theatre Practitioner or ODP

 

Tower Hamlet's ambitious, private hospital is looking for a dedicated Lead Theatre Practitioner to join its friendly and supportive team. This ‘Outstanding’ CQC rated, modern hospital provides high-quality treatment across a range of elective surgical procedures. You will support in assessing patients’ health and wellbeing across a varied caseload meaning no two days will be the same.

If you are a Lead Theatre Practitioner or a Senior who want's to take the next step who can own your role, a leader with a natural drive then this is this role is suitable.

If you prefer long shifts with a small, laminar flow theatre setup that's well organised but needs you to be able to work quickly and efficiently then I guarantee that this is the hospital for you.

Requirements

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, over view of leading other.
  • First surgical assistant certificate is desirable.
  • Anaesthetic or Scrub Module.
  • ILS.
  • Mentorship qualification is required for a lead.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care.  To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
  • To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty.
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Organise and assist with the theatre lists, managing the rotas and helping to mentor the more junior theatre staff.
  • Apply and promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice.
  • Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
  • Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrating Circle Health Group behaviours at all time.
  • Assemble, check and prepare the appropriate surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures.
