Lead Tutor for Electrical
Engineering

38,000 p/a
Full-time, permanent
We are working with an education provider in the
Birmingham area who are looking for a Lead Tutor for Electrical
Engineering to join their engineering training team on a full-time,
permanent basis.
The job role would consist of you delivering
training to Electrical Engineering learners (up to level 3) at the
provider's dedicated engineering training centre in Birmingham. The
Lead Tutor will also function as a support for the Curriculum Managers
in response to challenges of delivery and should be suitably skilled
to contribute to wider business discussions about improvement. It is
essential that the Lead Tutor has a good working knowledge of the
Schemes of Work and assessments for the all of the units that fall
under their designated area of the workshop. The Lead Tutor should
also provide guidance and support to members of the operational team
in order to achieve timely achievement.
They would need you to
deliver on the EAL programme, covering the following
units:
-Maintaining Electrical Equipment/Systems
-Wiring and
Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits
-Assembling, Wiring and
Testing Electrical Panels/Components Mounted in Enclosures
-Forming
and Assembling Electrical Cable Enclosure and Support Systems
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a position at a longstanding and reputable training and education provider, who have lots of clients in the manufacturing industry. It is a full-time role, with general hours from 8am to 4:30pm. However, there is an early finish on Fridays as the centre closes at 1pm.
The training
provider are offering a starting salary of 38,000 per annum for this
position, which would also include a contributory pension, a health
plan (including dental and optical contributions), and 34 days holiday
per year (including Bank Holidays).
To be eligible for the
position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 Electrical
qualification
-Industrial experience of hands-on Electrical
Engineering work
-Previous experience of delivering Electrical
Engineering training
