Lead  Web Developer (Hybrid Working)

Location - Boldon -  Applicants must be North East based within a commutable distance of Boldon Business Park, Tyne and Wear.

Salary - Up to £40k



Our Client is a top UK digital agency and we are searching for a talented and motivated Web Developer to be responsible for developing usable, content managed websites.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated developer to grow their career at our established and well-respected digital agency based in North East England at Boldon Business Park


Web Developer:


• Remote Hybrid Flexible Working
• Salary up to £45,000 (depending upon experience)

Web Developer – Duties and Responsibilities:

To work on your own assigned projects, play an active role within the company and influence the overall development of the digital team.
Web Developer - Essential Skills:
• Being able to build bespoke WordPress Themes is an essential skill required for this position.
• Skills in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, PHP, JS & MySQL.
• Experience of working with APIs and developing custom work.
• Experience of building bespoke, responsive WordPress Themes.
• Experience of working with Bootstrap.
• Great communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Understanding how to use GIT as part of a team.
• Have an eye for detail and take pride in your work.
• Ability to manage your time effectively and deliver work to agreed timescales.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.


Web Developer - Desirable Skills:

• Experience of working with ecommerce platforms e.g. WooCommerce.
• Experience with Payment Gateway Integrations.
• An understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
• Understanding of effective user experience planning.
• Experience in using workflow tools e.g. GULP.
• Knowledge and use of preprocesses e.g. SASS/LESS
