The Role:  

As the Learning Experience Manager, you will directly manage and operationalize learning experience (LX) for the EMEA region, and collaboratively lead and contribute to areas of learning and development for the global Deckers organization.  

Working closely with key global and regional partners, you will support the engagement and development of global employees through the ownership, ideation, creation, communication, delivery, measurement, and ongoing management of learning experiences that enhance employee and organizational capability in alignment with Deckers strategic growth priorities, culture, and DEI principles.  

You will manage a portfolio of blended programming, content and experiences for in-person, hybrid and fully-remote teams, thoughtfully curated and communicated across the business for highest possible engagement and ROI.  

Ultimately, this role will instill a learning culture, brand, and practice that empowers employees to develop their skills, leadership, confidence, and careers at Deckers and beyond.  

Your Impact:  

  • Manage and operationalize LX for assigned region and partner/support across other regions, while also playing a key leadership role in global LX solutions for Deckers  

  • Partner with VP People & Experience and global LX colleagues to collaboratively envision, design, develop, measure, communicate, and manage the global LX agenda for impactful delivery of global and local learning solutions  

  • Cultivate and maintain consultative relationships with senior leaders across the EMEA region, as well as select global leaders  

  • Serve as the primary client partner for the EMEA region to provide thought leadership, direction, ideas, recommendations, and solutions from a learning and development perspective  

  • Partner closely with Talent Management/OD leaders, PXBPs, and regional PX leaders to prioritize and ensure alignment/ synergy of learning objectives with other PX programming  

  • Manage the end-to-end design, development, and facilitation of learning content, from initial concept through final implementation – keeping the end-user/learner at the forefront to ensure exceptional LX  

  • Champion and lead employees through the practice of peer-learning at DeckersCreate & facilitate learning solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners, across multiple geographies and generations; Content formats may include team effectiveness assessments/workshops (I.e., Discovery Insights, SDI, DISC, StrengthsFinder, etc.), microlearning, peer-generated learning, webinars, on-the-job curriculum, interactive modules, quick reference guides, job aids, videos, online courses, communities of practice, etc.  

  • Optimize the use of the LMS and other learning technologies that will enable knowledge sharing efforts to scale  

  • Foster an environment of inclusion and belonging where all employees feel valued, where differences are embraced, and everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work  

  • Provide L & D thought leadership and share best practices

We would love to hear from people with:  

  • Experience managing Learning & Development for an entire region and/or major client group  

  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and facilitating scalable learning programs, curriculum, content, digital/e-learning programs, peer-learning, social-learning, instructor-led training, reference guides, and other digital learning experiences  

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including for corporate communications and branding of Learning Experience work  

  • Experience collaborating with external learning providers and internal learning partners  

  • Data judgment: know key data trends, and use them to report on and influence Learning Experience at Deckers  

  • Project and program management experience adhering to timelines and budgets
