The Role

This SEND School, based in Morpeth is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Mentor  to work in Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this SEND School as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Mentor  will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEN including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) and Associated Behavioural Difficulties. This full time Learning Support Mentor  role is long term from May ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

The desired Learning Support Mentor will have;

• Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of SEND EYFS, primary, secondary and Post-16 school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• An ability to deal with fast paced situations.
