Full Job Description

Windsor Forest College Group is looking for a Lecturer of A Level Film and Media to join the Windsor team on a part time, permanent basis.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer of A Level Film & Media to join our team in Windsor on a 0.8 FTE basis. This role is pivotal to our Windsor Forest Colleges Group's success, and we are committed to providing a competitive package that reflects the candidate's skills and responsibilities. Working 29.6 hours a week, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate successful experience in supporting learners to high achievement and relevant industry links or experience which can be used to support learner in their own progression

Responsibilities:

Teach Vocational Creative Digital Media Production and A Level Film & Media Studies with creativity, enthusiasm and energy.

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to students.

Mark and grade students’ work, provide feedback and monitor progress.

Assess, track and report on student progress.

Organise and attend extra-curricular activities.

Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of students in the classroom.

Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance and achievement.

Requirements:

An appropriate degree to the subject matter.

An endorsed teaching qualification, or the willingness to work towards one.

Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE Grades A - C, or equivalent)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage and motivate students.

Good problem-solving and organisational skills.

Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment system.

Recent experience of teaching vocational Creative Digital Media (e.g. BTEC L3/L2 Creative Digital Media Production) and knowledge of recent developments in the teaching of vocational Creative Digital Media (e.g. BTEC L3/L2 Creative Digital Media Production)

Recent experience of teaching A Level Film and Media Studies
