Full Job Description

We are currently seeking an organised and dependable Legal Assistant to support our Personal Injury Team. This is a full-time position, based in our Guildford office. Situated close to Tungstate in the heart of Guildford, our offices are conveniently located within walking distance of the main shops and restaurants.

In this role, you'll be an integral part of our highly experienced Personal Injury team who provide legal representation and assistance to individuals who have been injured due to accidents or negligence.

Our team of experienced solicitors specialise in Personal Injury delivering exceptional service to our clients with pride and empathy. At Moore Barlow, we take a “Human-First” approach to every matter, striving to ensure a smooth and stress-free process.

Our Legal Assistants are essential members of our team, responsible for managing their own tasks while also providing support to colleagues on more involved tasks. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a blend of secretarial and administrative duties, including:
 

  • Supporting file opening and billing processes
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of engagement letters
  • Handling dictation
  • Recording time
  • Assembling bundles

What we look for:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess some administrative experience along with a genuine passion for assisting others. We're seeking an individual who can demonstrate empathy, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively support our team of legal professionals and the clients they serve.

While prior experience within a  Personal Injury or Medical Negligence team is advantageous, we also welcome applicants with relevant work or academic experience showcasing a sincere interest in this field.
