Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with a growing alternative investment manager with circa £7 billion AUM. This role is a newly created role and will report into the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.
In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the compliance programme, as well as supporting on wider legal responsibilities. This person is seen medium-long term to be the Head of Compliance (SMF16/17).
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance oversight and monitoring activities of the firm
- Provide advice to the business on key FCA regulatory requirements
- Updating and managing the firm’s compliance policies and procedures
- Maintaining employee certifications in accordance with the FCA’s Senior Management Certification Regime
- Supporting on agreements such as third-party marketing agreements, research agreements, IMAs, management company contracts etc.
- Providing compliance input on a range of projects
- Building strong compliance relationships with the business
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of compliance & legal experience within an asset management
- Legal qualifications are desirable although not essential.
- Experience with AIFMD regulations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
