Our client is a multinational industrial engineering company, primarily focused on providing equipment, solutions, and services for sustainable productivity in various industries such as mining, construction and manufacturing. As Legal counsel you will be responsible for providing expert advice to support wider business operations, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

Description

  • Provide legal advice on a broad range of industrial legal matters
  • Identify and manage legal risks within the business
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal compliance programs
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure legal compliance across the company
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws that affect the company and the industrial sector
  • Deliver training to company staff on legal matters and compliance

Profile

The successful applicant will have the following skills/experience:

  • A specialist in commercial law with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
  • UK qualified Solicitor with valid practising certificate
  • Strong understanding of the legal landscape and compliance requirements in the industrial sector
  • Proven ability to think commercially and apply your legal knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way
  • Familiar with managing stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Able to work autonomously to proactively manage and mitigate legal risk
  • Confidence to challenge decisions and actions when required in a respectful and measured manner
  • Able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
