Full Job Description

Penguin Ventures, the licensing and consumer product division of Penguin Random House Children’s UK, is looking for a Licensing Assistant to join their growing team.

We take our iconic literary brands and characters off the page, and bring them to life via our licensing and consumer products programme, with brands including Peter Rabbit, The World of Eric Carle, The Snowman, Spot and Flower Fairies. We connect with our audience and fans at every touch point – whether that’s on physical products, through partnerships at retail, within promotions, across digital, or through live experiences such as stage shows or garden trails – managed in-house through our expert team.  

The Role 

 Reporting to the Commercial Director and joining a team of 12, this role is responsible for an array of operational and administrative duties, including:

  • Providing diary management support to the Commercial Director, and organising team meetings and events (including room / venue bookings)

  • Managing and tracking paperwork and maintaining relevant documentation, including budget/spend tracking, licensee lists and contractual documentation

  • Supporting the team with trade fairs and events, including brand days and Brand Licensing Europe

  • Supporting with projects, systems and processes, including SAP, BrandComply

  • Collecting and collating data for reports and presentations, including research tasks

  •  Any other ad-hoc / business requirements coming from the Ventures team

What You’ll Bring   

You’ll be eager and interested to learn about licensing, and be passionate about the brands we look after. We’ll need you to be a proactive and methodical worker, organised and with an eye for detail. You’ll have experience working in an office environment, and be comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Office and Teams.

You will need to demonstrate administration and organisational skills, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: You'll start on £27,500, plus bonus and benefits.
