Summary:

Seeking experienced and motivated technicians to install fire, security, access control, intercom, IP video systems, and related systems and components. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.

Job Functions:

  • Installation, service, and inspection of security, access control, AV Systems, IP video systems, and related systems and components.
  • Install and maintain AV equipment such as TV’s, sound devices as needed by each location.
  • System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards.
  • Independently conduct tests and determine whether equipment is operating as expected; troubleshooting skills; equipment maintenance; repairing; installation.
  • Demonstrate communication and teamwork skills with customers(employees), co-workers and subcontractors.
  • Work with Fire Alarm companies for all repair and installation needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used and communicate any problem encountered or identified with the alarm system.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site.
  • Follow safety procedures, ensure all work is being done in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Must own basic electrical tools, specialty tools will be supplied.
  • Additional functions may be required as needed.

Education & Required Skills:

  • 3+ years low voltage industry experience required.
  • Ability to install, inspect, and repair equipment used by Trinity.
  • Ability to read blueprints and / or drawings preferred.
  • Must be able to use various equipment and tools up to 50lbs. Job may require performing work in unusual and sometimes difficult locations such as warehouse’s, crawl spaces, heights, etc.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with the Regional Security Manager.
  • Customer service skills to deal with both internal and external contacts.
  • Must have a professional appearance. Be responsible, self-motivated, personable, and well-organized.
  • Must own basic electrical tools, specialty tools will be supplied.
  • Have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work overtime as requested and non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be a team player with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
  • Must be available to travel on short notice, non-standard hours, travel on weekends, and assist others.
