Our client is an established engineering company based in Hastings
and Battle, providing a wide range of welding, fabrication and control
systems to commercial and domestic clients. Our client is currently
looking for a MIG Welder to join
their busy and friendly team on a temporary basis in Battle,
East Sussex .
The ideal candidate will have
demonstrable experience within this industry, and be able to weld with
MIG to a very high standard. As a MIG Welder
you will be working predominately on structural work and
adhering to technical drawings.
Due to the location of the vacancy, you must be able to drive and have your own transport.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience using Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
- Experience of using sheet metal
- Solid understanding of mathematics
- Understanding of measuring tools such as callipers, rules, feeler gauges, and pi tapes
- Be able to read mechanical drawings
- Be polite, informative and have a professional attitude towards customers and co-workers
- Must be a multi-tasking team player
Your duties as a MIG Welder will include:
- Evaluate all drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications
- Perform all welding work with the help of forming and cutting equipment
- Provide assistance to production processes and mould various fixtures
- Perform efficient welding of various metal objects
- Analyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly
- Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products
- To follow all processes and procedures contained within the companies ISO9001/BSEN1090 QMS
Salary:
£15 - £18 per hour depending on
experience
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 6am -
2pm, 2pm - 8pm
