Maintenance Operative - Student Accommodation

Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to think on their feet and make decisions quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Ensure that the company's maintenance and safety policies and procedures are always adhered to.
• Report and address any member feedback.
• Be proactive and reactive to operational tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the building.
• Work safely, conforming to statutory and company health and safety regulations.
• Suggest and implement building improvements.
• Monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels.
• Feed into future projects and make suggestions on how to improve the build.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• City & Guilds or NVQ in electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Ability to be flexible with working hours and days, including weekends and bank holidays.
