Maintenance Supervisor

Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a plastics manufacturer in Birmingham.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be working a continental shift pattern of Four days and Four nights (12 hour shifts) and will be responsible for organising the maintenance team on shift.

It Is essential that candidates have previous injection moulding/plastics experience.

Further responsibilities will include:

*Maximise uptime through planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

*Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team

*Provide line management to the team and overseeing their workloads

*To identify & implement improvement projects

*To ensure equipment is capable of running at its optimum speed

*To develop and implement TPM across the plant.

* Maintain and repair Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic systems and equipment

*To constantly analyse performance & implement continuous improvements

Candidates need to be HNC qualified in electrical engineering and will have a thorough knowledge of plastic and injection moulding manufacturing. Further to this candidate will have demonstrable experience in PLC fault finding, problem solving and small modifications.
