Job Description

Position Purpose:

The main goal of this role is to lead on all bids / tenders ensuring successful bid delivery, managing a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplinary bids of ranging values. This role is essential for the successful transformation of our bid strategy for the EKA, MultiNational and Retail strategic customers across Europe.

To work in a collaborative way with the ‘‘pool’ of specialists to deliver account engagement plans and bespoke marketing content to retain & strengthen our strategic accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the new function of Strategic Partnerships proposal management
  • Building a bid team and leading & coaching the ‘pool’ of specialists
  • Develop and implement a bid strategy & plan with an annual roadmap and templates
  • Manage the creation of the bid deliverables, ensuring these are reviewed as appropriate, leading to the creation of a high quality proposal.
  • Articulate value propositions, ensuring all documentation and submission material is exceptional, eye-catching & crucially compelling
  • Manage all stakeholders, introducing the new bid process
  • Partner with stakeholders across the relevant divisions by regulary, clearly and concisely communicating project progress and ensure full alignment and engagement.
  • Drive operational efficiencies, collaboration opportunities and drive continuous improvement in the support we provide and to build and manage the relationships necessary to deliver them.
  • Market Research: link to existing Customer Insights & Market Insights teams when necessary
  • Content Agencies: work with existing or new creative content, bid, brand and PR agencies when necessary.
  • Local Marketing: work with individuals in the Buyer Marketing & Demand Generation teams to deliver projects on time and to budget.

Qualification

Essential

  • A - level or equivalent
  • Project Management/Bid Management Qualification/training
     

Desirable

  • Change Management
  • Shipley Bid management
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)

Experience:

  • Be experienced in leading a team and bids in a fast-paced environment applying best practice processes
  • You will need to have worked cross functionally in a matrix environment in the past, with experience managing project teams with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Working within a collaborative framework to deliver customer centric content and projects is key.
  • You will have experience of challenging and working with multiple agencies & project contributors.
  • Track record of implementing new processes and change management success.
  • Management of budget & supplier coordination
  • Regularly report on progress against plan with clear Metrics on all activities (digital and non-digital)
  • Experience of Microsoft packages (PowerPoint, excel, word)
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills e.g. consulting style summaries.
  • Excellent skills to use Project Management Digital Tools of choice.
