The Basics:
Role: Manual machinist / Tool Room Engineer
Salary: 18 per hour to 20 per hour plus 1.83 per hour shift allowance = 38152 to 42000 per annum.
Overtime rates: Paid at 1.5 on Saturdays, double on Sundays, 1.33 for the first 2hrs on a weekday and then 1.5 after the first 2hrs on a weekday.
Location: Erdington
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 1:30pm and Fridays 6am to 1pm rotating with Monday to Thursday 1:30pm to 9pm and Fridays 1pm to 8pm.
Holidays and benefits: 33 days holiday, Pension up to 7%, Uniform, Onsite parking, Overtime available

Overview:
We now require a Manual Machinist to join the Toolroom. You will be working for a large manufacturing business that have manufacturing facilities across the world.
The toolroom consists of milling, turning, grinding and bench fitting with some CNC Machinery should the desired candidate wish to learn or utlise this - they also have the capacity for off line programming if desired.
The ideal candidate / Manual Machinist may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
Time Served Apprenticeship - beneficial
Competent at reading engineering drawings
Previous experience in manual machining - milling, turning, grinding for example.
Competent bench fitting and mechanical fitting skills - working with hand tool associated in a workshop environment.
Commutable from: Erdington, Saltley, Walsall, Lichfield, Tamworth, Solihull, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas
