Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Detail Planner to join our proactive and innovative team.
- As a Detail planning engineer, you will be responsible for creating Engineering instructions from the Design definition with a direct link through to the production process.
- You will be expected to work independently to create instructions but engaging with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality of the engineering method and Bill of Materials.
- Produce appropriate department
documentation.
- Routings, BoM’s, MI’s
- Installations, assemblies & detail manufacture
- Implementation and control of change to the product.
- Able to perform non-complex project reporting and scheduling.
- May on occasion provide informal technical support to team members.
- Support in the development of department processes.
- Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
- Responsible for liaising with other technical departments.
- Work is within standardised procedures and practices, accuracy of tasks is impactful.
- An ability to gather information & data to support build.
- Be able to plan and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to find and adopt best practice.
- A good understanding of how team integrates with other teams in order to achieve objectives.
- Needs to work effectively in a team.
- Good communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills.
- Recognition of the limits of their own knowledge so that specialist support can be sought.
- Sufficient experience to be able to identify all the issues involved in their area of responsibility.
- An understanding of the manufacturing used within the business.
- Engineering Drawing Reading and Interpretation including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of Business processes and procedures.
- Experience of working with SAP.
- Experience of working with PLM systems (Teamcenter).
- Experience of working with stakeholders typically inside the company.
