Marketing Executive (Aspire Executive Lounges)

Location: UK Remote or Hybrid

Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Bids

Part of Swissport, the world’s largest aviation services provider, Aspire Executive Lounges is a globally recognised airport lounge provider, with 80 lounges at 40 airports in 20 countries. Last year we welcomed more than 5.2 million guests, be they travelling for business or pleasure.


We have an ambitious growth strategy to increase the number of lounges we operate worldwide and increase our direct sales channels. We are looking for an experienced, tenacious and passionate Marketing Executive to support our ambitions by ensuring that the Aspire brand is promoted effectively and correctly in every instance and to support our ambitions with engaging B2C and B2B content creation.


Job Summary


Engaging content and correct representation of the Aspire brand is vital in ensuring consistency amongst our network of lounges is critical, alongside ensuring our potential customers and partners are aware of who we are, what we do and where we operate. We are looking for 2 passionate, tenacious and experienced Marketing Executives who wish to play a leading role in the creation and execution of a compelling content strategy and implementation of the brand, that supports our growth plans.


Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Bids, the Marketing Executive will be the go-to person to ensure that every sign, every communication, every webpage, and more is not only presented correctly, but is reflective of our overall brand ethos. At Aspire, we believe that branding is not just a logo, or the responsibility of the Marketing Team, but rather is collection of thoughts and feelings about experiences with Aspire, and it runs through every single member of the organisation.


The ideal candidate will be experienced in crafting B2C digital content for our websites, social media posts and email marketing and supporting the Head of Digital with the goal to drive traffic growth and increase direct sales. They will be equally comfortable creating compelling and engaging written content for tender documentation, brochures and other above-the-line positioning materials as well as collaborating on internal communications and PR.


This role will involve collaborating with colleagues in design, digital and operations and working across a variety of media channels including print, digital, in-lounge. You will work closely with colleagues within marketing and internal stakeholders, as well external partners and agencies, taking ownership of and providing support with the execution of the brand.


We are looking for someone who is creative, yet detail orientated and who is confident dealing with multiple campaigns simultaneously, whilst maintaining great relationships across the wider marketing team and beyond.


Job Responsibilities


- Content Creation – Working with the Head of Marketing & Bids in the delivery of compelling and engaging content, both B2C & B2B for a variety of media that promotes the Aspire brand to the appropriate audience.

- In lounge experience – Standardise and apply a consistent approach to in-lounge collateral. Be aware of print process and help lead the display guidelines to ensure compliance across the global network.

- Content Writing – Supporting the Head of Digital and E-Commerce, create compelling and engaging B2C content that supports the digital function objectives across digital platforms including Social, CRM, Email, Campaign, Website.

- Best Practice - Manage content securely and in accordance with any copyright and/or licensing requirements and in compliance with any legislation such as, but not limited to the GDPR.

- Content Management – In conjunction with the Head of Marketing & Bids and the Head of Digital and E-Commerce, develop and consistently apply the Aspire brand tone-of-voice, ensuring that all content satisfies the requirements of the brand guidelines, both internally and with external partners.

- Partner Stakeholder Management – co-managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and agencies, initiating content to enhance guest experience, generate revenue and/or mitigate shortfalls.

- Campaign Creation – Help co-ordinate and deliver cross-channel brand marketing campaigns, aimed at driving awareness and increasing brand recognition

- Campaign Collaboration – Ensure that the brand is correctly represented across all channels and customer facing communications.

- Best Practice - Manage content securely and in accordance with any copyright and/or licensing requirements and in compliance with any legislation such as, but not limited to the GDPR.

- Asset Management – Own, manage and maintain and online repository of assets and toolkits relating to Aspire branding, including, but not limited to, photography, logos and other brand elements.

- Brand Management – Be part of the process and develop the Aspire Brand Guidelines, supported by content and creative colleagues

- Partner Stakeholder Management – co-managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and agencies, ensuring the correct execution of the Aspire brand to enhance guest experience wherever it is seen.

- Brand Support – Support the Head of Marketing & Bids a ensuring that the look and feel of tender documentation, lounge design, signage and more represents the ambitions of the Aspire brand.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience


- Proven track record within brand management and marketing techniques in a similar role with an agency or B2C organisation, preferably within the Travel sector.

- A passionate creative and copywriter who is comfortable being hands-on with asset production, collaborating with colleagues in digital, creative and the wider marketing team.

- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, effectively and persuasively to an individual or group.

- Experience of, or a willingness to learn, about the impact of branding and content on behaviour and the effectiveness of branding, to constantly evolve content to maximise returns on objectives

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an excellent grasp of English spelling, punctuation and grammar.

- Strong ability to work both collaboratively and on own and is highly organised and able to self-manage, plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

- CMS experience, ideally Umbraco is desired but not essential.

- Ability to report on content effectiveness, ideally with GA4 and Hootsuite.

- Design experience, ideally Adobe Suite is desired but not essential.

- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build lasting and collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.


Further information


This role is a remote first position, although some travel will be required from time-to-time. This could involve meetings in the UK, or visits to our lounges around the world.
