Our client is an established firm in the industrial manufacturing sector with a significant presence in the UK. They have a large workforce committed to creating innovative solutions and are renowned for their quality products and services. The company has a substantial manufacturing facility based in Kidderminster.

Description

Managing materials (stocks, quality, performance, legislation) to meet strict design requirements.

Supporting, monitoring and improving associated manufacturing processes.

Qualifying materials in accordance with recognised defence and internal standards.

Investigating and resolving material and related manufacturing problems.

Monitoring for material obsolescence and qualifying the replacements.

Clearance of ingredients and finished materials for manufacturing.

Technically supporting production on a day to day basis - compiling methods and documents to ensure compliance with configured standards.
Profile

A successful Materials Engineer should have:
* A degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field
* A good understanding of materials and their properties
* Strong problem-solving skills
* The ability to work well in a team
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in using engineering software
